ABOUT
Our Mission & Values
Our mission is to bridge the gap between technology and the land, providing accurate, noninvasive digital data solutions for sustainable decision-making in natural and cultural landscapes.
We are a Manitoba-based independent company with a deep respect for the environments we work in and the communities we serve. With roots in archaeology and a strong foundation in spatial science and remote sensing, we help our clients make informed, responsible decisions through high-quality aerial data.
Our Core Values
Integrity & Ethics
We believe in ethical data collection, cultural sensitivity, and scientific accountability in every project we take on.
Innovation with Purpose
To solve real-world problems, we use evolving technologies like LiDAR, photogrammetry, and multispectral imaging.
Respect for the Land
Our approach is non-invasive and long-term thinking on land stewardship and heritage preservation.
Collaboration
We work closely with clients, researchers, and local stakeholders to deliver practical, respectful, and impactful results.
Our work is about more than data—it’s about insight, connection, and using technology to better understand and care for the world around us.
Our roots
Our Roots in Archaeology and Spatial Science
ARCH Airworks was born from a deep connection to the land and a background in archaeology. Founder Nick Kuncewicz has over 10 years of experience in archaeological fieldwork, lab work, and project administration. He holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Manitoba and MSc in Archaeological Science at Lakehead University, where his research focuses on aerial remote sensing for non-invasive site detection.
Nick’s journey from cultural heritage work to drone-based spatial science laid the foundation for ARCH Airworks. By combining archaeological insight with advanced drone technology, we provide ethical, data-driven solutions for clients working with natural and cultural landscapes..
